Post 3310 Dropped in water

How do?
Someone has brought a 3310 for repair, which has been damp. I have cleaned the board with lighter fluid,(to cleaned furred up contacts"). A whole ago, somebody posted the common parts which fail under this sadly common fault, but i cannot find it. Does anyone know the common parts which fail, or where the link for this post is?
Much appreciated. Blart.

I have fixed a lot of phones that have been dropped in water.
What i do, is basiclly to wasch the phone in a soap/water mixure (not the display).
The display is almost destroyed every time if dropped in water, and if the phone isnt powered of and battery is removed directly after dropped, you will have pcb tracks burned of.Wasch it really carefull and dont miss a spot, and let it dry up......and if you are lucky it will work,if not start replacing bad parts.
Boring work ,but it will get your phone back.
