Member: 871 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 602 | 6138 EEPROM Rebuilding Does anyone know how to manually rebuild the EEPROM of a 6138 or any NSX unit? I have 1 6138 which I damaged about 1 year ago when you still have to open phone and modify EEPROM to get NetMonitor Menu (Those were the days ) I accidentally erased the contents of the EEPROM while reprogramming it and I wasn't able to make a backup of the stupid dump. I tried 100 ways to make it work again. I tried to upload dumps of 6110 to it and manually modified IMEI so that it would still have same IMEI. Some dumps worked but there is always something wrong, all 4 locks are closed and no unlocker can open it! The only sim card that the unit works for now is an original Motorola Test Card! I now have a dump of a 6138 with the same software version. I uploaded it and phone says "Contact Service". I used Wintesla to fix the "Contact Service" and now again all 4 locks are closed but phone is partially working. Does anyone know how to get around this mess? Best Regards, X-Shadow |

Member: | Hi X-Shadow, I want to help you, but I'm not sure are you gonna like it. I'll tell you what you told me few months ago - that each byte is responsible for something and you can't just with try find out the values of entire 64k memory. But I think that you can use another dump. For that you have to change Cobba - just take it out from the other phone. That's why you need un-repairble phone. Check NSE service manual - it's there.
