3330 no network after change tones with 5210 tones - GSM-Forum

I make my 3330 change tone to 5210 tones, I split PPM 3330 and use PPm Manager to change tones.Then I flash my 3330 with GSM Brother. Tones have changed, but I loss my network. I try to fix with eeprom tool, but no response or no changed.
Can any body help me how to make it step by step

You need b-phreaks logger.First calck faid and then upload calk log file.....

Since you are using custom ppm you must use a FAID calculator that supports custom ppm...

Get Logger v2.0 by B-Phreaks here to read log from phone.

I never used 2.0 logger to update faid in custom ppm... but i suppose it works...
If it doesn't, just say something so i can send you 1.6.

And then use Tek's Faid calculator for B-Phreaks logs, get it here. Please note that you must specify the flash file you used (MCU+PPM together) when using tek's software.

Also, i heard that ringtone changing isn't possibile on new 3330 versions (4.30 and above)... i never tried though....

I try your instruction both of you, but still no network for my 3330, my be right that MoOkIe heard. But sometimes when I changing ringtones the other type of Nokia phone still no network.
I try to use Dejan 104 flasher to change ringtones, the result is contact service. Maybe you can explain how to use dejan flasher 104 to changing ringtones.

Hi!

The reason for CS could be wrong PPM Checksums, you can use ppm manager to fix it.

I'll send you the logger 1.6, but for that i need your e-mail.

Hi,

If intending modifications in a flash file don't use:
3310-503, 3310-513, 3330-430 or 3330-450.

Because ppm manager calculates an incorrect flash checksum on those.
This flash checksum is required as input for calcing faid number afterwards.
So if the Flash check is incorrect, the Faid number will be calced incorrect too.
