8250 no network!!

Hi all, I flashed my 8250 with a custom PPM ver. 5.00 (With Arabic language), but the phone can't see the network!!

I tried using many programs to fix it, but no luck..

I use MBUS, Flasher cable, Knok-Ph, EEprom tools 3.1 by b-phreaks, Nokia tool 1.8 by Rolis, Nokia tool 3.21 by Jordik...

Any solution??

Thanks all..

did you remember to recalculate faid?

fadi79 06-29-2002 13:26

Yes I did, I did everything but no luck..

I tried to flash the mobile with an unmodified PPM, it work 100% ok with full network, but with the modified PPM = no network...

Help please..

OK guys, the problem is solved..

I followed the following steps:

1. Use PPMCutter to cut and save the PPM file it as a flash file (PPMFile.g --> PPMFile.fls).

2. Use FLashTone 2.05 to convert the MCU file to flash file (MCUfile.mcu --> MCUfile.fls)

3. Use Dejan_to_Wintesla convertor to convert both the MCU & PPM files into Wintesla files.

4. Use Knok Phoenix to convert the TWO Wintesla file to ONE flash file.

5. Use PPMManager 0.91 to update all PPM CRC's, then save the file.

6. Flash the file into the mobile, continue in the normal procedure (Set IMEI, Clear SP locks, Calculate FAID... etc..).

I don't know if there is another simpler steps, but I know these steps works 100%.

P.S: I think we can skip steps 3 & 4, and just flash the two files (MCU & PPM) after updating the PPM CRC's using PPMManager..

The mobile is working now 100% with full network and custom PPM with Arabic Language..

Thanks for posting..

Best wishes..

How to fix 8250(8210) no network after upgrade?

Hi all, I flashed my 8250 with a custom PPM ver. 5.00 , but the phone can't see the network!!

Can I fix it using this programs : EEprom tools 3.1, Nokia tool 1.8 by Rolis.

Or I need to make this steps anyway?

5. Use PPMManager 0.91 to update all PPM CRC's, then save the file.

want to know whats causing the problem? the problem is, the last 8 bytes of your PPM are invalid, everytime you modify full flashes, dont forget to correct checksums using PPM Manager 0.91, otherwise, if you dont correct checksums, you can use logger to calculate FAiD.

How to make it correctly?

To correct checksums using PPM Manager 0.91 I need PPM only or MCU+PPM together in one flash?
Give me PPM Manager 0.91 or link pls...

8250 solution

The easiest way to solve 8250 flash file problem is to use knock by phoenix,
set flash file as source and fix all of you can. Knock will fix four bytes and that's all!
