3210 custom screen now dead! help! - GSM-Forum

3210 was working perfectly but had a customised display - "Menu" had been changed to guy's name and made to flash.

I needed to get back to default so did a full flash. Now got a dead phone.

Flashes OK (tried several including original) and reads Mbus OK but same result - screen just on with no text.

Anybody know what the last guy did and how I can fix it?

Reflash the phone with working flash with rolis 4.79 .Fix the checksum using mbus cable and nokia tool.
update faid.
Then power on the phone and see if it works.
adjust contrast if needed.

Thanks, Sunil. I tried that several times! Broken the phone up for spares now.
