Hi nextar.
Dejan Flasher 1.4 is only the user interface which makes your life easyer. All calculations are done inside the box. First for each PPM file the box adds 16 bytes as header (after that used in calculation). When you flash your phone, new MSID has to be recalculated. This is done in the box. Even the box uses a simple microcontroler from Microchip, it is code protected and nobody can read it. The only one who has the code is Dejan. I hope that information is enough to answer you question.

Regards
Daniel

Hi Nextar.

It does not use PIC 12CXXX. This is an eight pin device and I just cannot imagine that it will communicate using the paralel port of the PC. Also it has two pins for power, so there are 6 left.
Lets think a bit.
The PIC uses handshake protocol with the PC for calculating all the information (ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING IS CALCULATED IN THE BOX). There should be at least nible mode data transfer. Also control bits for data direction, bit for command (data) on port, and etc.
The update with new FAID is done by the box (USING MBUS). The box also calculates 16 byte header which you will see in all PPM files, for later upload with the same box (some kind of breaking calculation in two).
After all I want to say that this is not poslible to be done by any PIC 12CXXX. Even if you have the most advanced of 12CXXX, it will still be short of pins.
Also 12CXXX does not use Flash technology, and it would not be a problem to be read.

Regards
Daniel
