Try this thing.
If you have 5110-5.29 with ee ff in locks,
flash it with another working same version flash from 20000 to 30000.Its a full flash,
you will see its be the same.
Then put eeprom dump from working phone it will be same again.
If you partial flash 5.29 to unlock ityou will get all open locks but when you put sim card it will not be accepted.

So cobba is the key of everything.

Hi mate.

I have a 5110-5.28 with ee ff in locks. So by following your suggestion, full-flash it with another same working version from 20000 to 30000.

Next, how could I update the eeprom? Is this the 24C16 eeprom? Should I desolder it, fix it with CS repairer by Bartec and resolder it again? Is there a way (or maybe a schmatic diagram) to fix the eeprom by not desoldering it?

Mine is a 5110-5.28 and tried to backup 05.28, flash it with full 05.24, tried to unlock with pro-tool 034 and even tried with 033, it still wont work. Then tried to reflash it with 05.28, still no go.

It still has that FF EE locks and still "closed/locked".

Please.. help... anybody...

To Ice dragon,
For now I dont know any software for uploading/downloading eeprom content.Yes you must desolder it and put content from that same 5.28 but also you must desolder cobba and put in.So you must destroy one in order to repair another one.
It is good when you find some other broken 5110 (RF malfunction or other not software related problem)

Sigh... Okey, I'll put back my dead 5110 to his original box, with its original manual and its orginal receipts and papers except maybe for the battey, shelf it and go out and buy a... maybe 6210.

Thanks guys for the help. Maybe I'll let its box gather some dust and maybe at some time later, there'll be a simpler solution to this problem.

Who knows maybe in the future days, weeks, months. It's like what they say, "You can't unlock your new version phones with cable and software! You have to take it apart, short some leads and unlock it!" But hey, look! Dejan Flasher could unlock your phone by not taking it apart and not putting your phone in a a jeopardy

Well, maybe in the future... rest well my 5110

Hi!

Just tried the NokiaSP by The FreeStyler. It can read/write eeprom contents of 5110 and 7110 (tested on those 2 and works fine).

Now you can read/write the contents of your eeprom without desoldering it. Although you still can't change the imei and the security block found from 0000 - 003F with it.

And my 5110 still can't be fixed with its EEEE FFFF locks.

Technically, can't the whole program read/write the whole eeprom contents from 0000 and up? Or it's intentionally programmed to only read/write contents starting from 0040 and up?

If it can read/write contents from 0040, why can't it read/write the whole eeprom contents?

If only I have some VisualBasic 6 source of it (which I doubt The FreeStyler would give).

Regards...
