Help solve an argument !!

Ribena here again !!

I've unlocked 2 phones now - thanks to all your help !!!
There is now stopping me now .......

My boyfriend and I have been having discussions on if it is illegal to unlock a phone.

Can anyone advise ?

I suppose it depends what country you are in. In the UK i think that the actual unlocking of phones isnt illegal, but depending on how you do it may be. If you have unlocked it using official Nokia equipment then all should be ok, but if you use Dejan flasher, then the flash loaders are copyrighted property of Nokia.

then again, nowadays who doesnt have pirated stuff on their pc?

if you wish to discuss anything more, you can mail or ICQ (#36910209) me.
correct me if im wrong anyone

It is not illegal, who owns the phone if you want to smash YOUR nokia to pieces you can if you want to eat it you can and if you want to alter the way YOUR phone works you can.

unless you are using copyrighted software to do it of course (partial/full flashes/bootloaders etc)
