how do you solve no signal - 5110?

The 5110 phone suddenly have no signal whatsoever.<br />Pls. help me solve this problem.

Thanks sir. I do not have any information, Tx RX, yet for I have no measuring equiptments or tools yet. Please tell me possible faults and solutions for 5110 that have no signal or network coverage. I am new in cellphone hardware and I am just starting to learn it .

This is my other observation:<br />When I select menu - settings, phone settings, network selection, manual; the phone searches for available networks in the vicinity and after a while, the three available networks in my place showed up. I tried the same with this and other celphone in a place where I know have no network coverage whatsoever and and the phone just displayed no network found. If the phone was able to search for available networks by the procedure described above, I think it means that the phone's "transceiver" circuitry is working. Could it be a fault of the phones software that is why the phone cannot establish contact with the network? I am not comfortable opening it.

Yah sure there are a lot instances in checking 5110 signal. But ill tell you something, basing in our case. Here in our area there are a lot of problems especially the no signal error, some of this are nokia 5110,3210,3310,7110, and 8210s.

Iam speaking of the hardware problem and not the software done by reflashing or flash overwritten by different PPM Package.

One that i can suggest you is simple, go to settings menu,phone settings,and network selection of the 5110 unit. Press selection on manual network select. NOTE! before manual network selection short the antena extension connector, you can use stainless objects or wire in shorting the antena connector. By shorting the antena press manual network select. If it will show network providers then the problem is in your antena connector. If the problem is not in the antena then better email me or call me ill discuss you some advantage troubleshooting..
