Member: 1064 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Someone know how to use this hex file? It contains in "eeprom pack.zip" and the name is "5110_511.hex".., there is about 10 different versions in this pack only for the 5110 model Is about 2KB..., a normal eeprom-hex for the 5110 is about 6BK :10000000010A46032F006F034F03F00E2500A304DF :100010000400480C0200FF0C060006070D0A060645 :100020000F0A01022E00110CAE0003042E03590C1E :100030002D000607190A61000607110AF60C0607CB :10004000110A81000607110A03071C0AED00430785 :100050001B0A0607290A0602FE0C06001F0CAE0941 :10006000000CAE09100CAE09400CAE09000CAE0934 :10007000040CAE09000CAE09010CAE09640CAE090B :10008000010CAE09010CAE092E0CAE09FF0C0600E6 :100090001A0C2C00A009EC0043074A0AD6090607EF :1000A0004F0A0602FE0C06001F0CAE09000CAE093A :1000B000100CAE097F0CAE09020CAE09000CAE09A3 :1000C000000CAE09000CAE09000CAE09000CAE0924 :1000D000000CAE09000CAE09000CAE09D6091F0CCD :1000E000AE09000CAE09100CAE09400CAE09000CB4 :1000F000AE090A0CAE09000CAE09010CAE09D50C14 :10010000AE09020CAE09000CAE09100CAE09B10C20 :10011000AE09AC0CAE09010CAE09010CAE090C0C19 :10012000AE09920CAE09FF0C0600390C2C00A00998 :10013000EC004307970A06079B0A060203000B0A16 :100140000607A00A0606A20A61000B0C29000E028F :10015000D0096100E9004307A70A00082A006B00E4 :10016000080C2900660061000E02D00961002A0314 :100170000307BD0A0605AB02BE0A06040E02D0093B :100180006100E9004307B70A0B07C80A0604C90A59 :1001900006050E02D009610006050E02D00900080E :1001A0002700070281000307D10A0008FA0C2D007E :0C01B0000E02D009ED004307D80A000839 :021FFE000200DF :00000001FF Isn't there any program that can calculate a working CRC? Alex thanx for helping me, can u describe a little more exactly.. from your last entry..?, I didn't understand witch telephone and so.., and what did u mean about good programmer? what difference is it between a good and a bad? |

Member: 871 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 602 | To Bph&co, Yes you are right about CRC, but mind you that I was trying to make things very simple. Anyway, the reason why all locks are closed because the Checksums or the CRC in the EEPROM does not match the Checksum and CRC in the Cobba, MCU, etc. The phone is not actually locked, but totally disabled and no unlocker can unlock it. It is useless to copy other phone's eeprom even with same version. Changing the imei on the other EEPROM to match the original EEPROM will still not solve your problem. The EEPROM is heavily secured and a single byte that is not correct will automaticaly disable the phone, especially if this byte is part of the IMEI or the lock infos. You can however remove the locks via EEPROM modification with correct checksums alone and not CRC because the lock info is only stored in the EEPROM (I dont know if this is true for newer versions). But even if your phone is unlocked, it will still not connect to any network because of mismatching CRC in different chips. So it is still useless... EEPROM rebuilding can be done, however you still need a TDF-4 Box to flash the phone again to calcutlate for the right CRCs and checksums. Using another phone as a experiment unit will still not solve your calculation problems since every phone uses a different "key byte" to calculte for the proper hex information. Same software version may mean same algorithm but still the "key byte" is different so still useless Practically, it is very hard to restore IMEI. When I had this problem, I destroyed the 24C16 by heating the IC. Then I assembled the 5110 again. Turn it on and saw "Contact Serivce". While the phone was still on, I dropped it inside a glass filled with water. Now phone is totally destroyed! The next morning I went to nokia service center to have it fixed ;p They tried to dry the PCB and realized that EEPROM was burned. They think that the water caused the EEPROM to be short circuited and thus burning. Heheheh, they replaced the PCB and fixed the phone that I destroyed for me Do not try to ask the service center to fix your phone normally. They will know that you tried to play with the EEPROM and thus they will not fix it even if you pay them Best Regards, Linuz |

Member: | Hi everybody, I never tryed to offend anybody, I just tryed to be useful. If somebody feels bad about me , I'm sorry. To X-Shadow - you can get new soldering iron - maybe Weller, and you'll never over heat the chips. For me good programmer is Ice Technology's WinLV 48. It can read every thing( 29F800 - FlashChip aswell). But is not cheap. I think if you see the prices for the software ,that some fellas whant, you you'll get the feeling that you get your programmer for free. Just for example - that guy from NokiaSolutions whant £800 for IMEI changin' program. I prefer to see on my bench Logic Analizer from Hewlet Packard then a sh*t program. Luuk I never told you told to put different eeprom content. I've told you to try to unlock another phone with the same program and see which fields are changed after that. I told you to make a back up of the serial just in case if this hapend again. When you know which part of the .hex is changed you can make some atempts to fix them. It's better to try with something that you know then entire 16k file! Luuk if you think is to difficult just give it to the Nokia Service. Thanks Alex |

Member: 1079 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | A friend of mine has just completed the schematics and built a mini-programmer for eeproms, at a total cost of under £5 (5 uk pounds). He has also put the software + diagrams + photos on his site (for free)for promming the eeprom. http://www.tigger.uk.com He is a real cool, and very intelligent dude, go see for yourself and build your own prommer (100% working) instead of paying sh*t loads of money to companies. Good Luck. If u like his progger, say so. Thankx K Of K |
