Member: 4478 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Read out secu code by Flashdump In the past someone has changed the secu code of my 8850 to joke me, the problem is that my phone only asks for the code if you want to put an other simcard in it. Well that moment has arrived now and now he asks for the code, which I don't know. I know that I can easily read out the code with a serial cable and Nokiatool, but I don't have that cable. Of course I can buy one, but maybe one of you guys is willing to take a look at the flash dump of my phone? I'm not smart enough to find the code there. Thank you, Chantal [email protected] |

Member: 4478 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Unfortunately this version doesn't support a Nokia 8850. I also received an e-mail today from Jarod, and he suggested that I should buy an M-bus cable, the only way to read out te security code :0( |

Member: 4478 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Everything ok now :-) Hi everyone, thank you for your suggestions, indeed I don't have an MBus cable, but if I had one, this would be a good solution. Yesterday however I solved it; Stuart sent me a flashfile with a new secucode, but after that I had a cs. When I then flashed the original back, I could enter 12345 without problems... strange enough. But that doesn;t ,matter, evenrything is ok now. Thank you, Chantal |

Member: 8804 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 4 | if you can put the original sim in, just IF, try logomanager & infrared, it will show you the security code, ELSE, the only way i see it doable is by sending your eeprom dump to someone who is willing to flash it over his own 8850 & reset the settings then read it & send it back to you to flash it back!!! i had the same problem a while back, i was able to use a motorola test card which for some reason did not ask for a security code when inserted in any phone,, the security check bit or whatever was disabled on that particular sim card,, i can not find the hex for it anywhere these days, the ones i find work with siemens & ericsson but not nokias,,, again for some strange reason.. now here is an idea that might sound stupid, if it does, spare me your replies, & if it does not, think about it... the flasher cables use Mbus & Fbus both,, if we use the mode command from dos & route comX to LPTX,,, will there be a chance of that working ? maybe with some adjustments to the parellel interface. good luck. |

Member: 7939 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | How to fix or what I did, got backup and flashed to my phone and changed code, saved and sent but this brought up C/S funny but that is life, so flashed the org one back which resets the eeprom and all works, don't ask me how or way but it does as I did this with a 8890 as well. |
