Nokia 3310 unlock with J.A.F. failure - GSM-Forum

hello,

I have a old J.A.F Box and a f-bus cable for unlock Nokia 3310 and think I'm doing something wrong, can anyone please throw me some ideas about if I can unlock this phone.(I've tried with dct3 calculator, but no luck). The phone is power-up when I click Info from DCT3, if I click again is restarting... and show me this:
"Powering the phone...
Failed! Aborting!"

You could calculate the code , but remember , you only have 3 chances to insert the code using phone Keypad , long time i dont unlock Nokia phone but if i remember the sequence to unlock DCT-3 is #pw+code+7# , if counter is blocked the unlock is only possible by cable.
When software ask to power the phone , you need press a few times the power button.

I know that can be unlock and with calculator too, but I think the counter is blocked. Only chance is with f-bus cable. I was pressing the power button on the phone, but if I press and hold the p-button the phone is restarting. I tried with a different phone nokia n73, bb5, and it works fine, only for this phone is not able to do, and the f-bus cable is new

You don’t have other interface box? Or other software you could use with JAF interface?
Probably could be some bug .
Try remove and insert cable , some phones sometimes have this tricks.
Open the (new) cable and verify if wires is ok. New not mean working.

Long time not use JAF.
One of the best hardware and software for Nokia is the UFS3 Tornado flasher.

Remember , UFS support is dead, you can’t use ufs software but sure , you could use the box has interface. The best hardware ever made.

P.s. I tried to reproduce the steps the I fund on a video from yt, but I can't update the box, I got the server 2 error message. Can you please advice me what should I use ?

I've tested the HWK ufs 3 hardware with the soft from JAF and working wonderfully for dct4 and bb5. But no luck for me for dct3... (with jaf software for ufs 3 the dc3 opt is not even shown). I've tried everything that I know, I can't f unlock this nokia 3310 dct 3 device.
With sarasSoft I can't connect my ufs device, I got "please reinstall hwk support suite"

I succeed to fix the connection with the HWK UFS-3 Tornado device, no more that "please reinstall hwk support suite" message, but now when I press Connect button from DCTxBB5 application, it shows only this, and status is disconnected, what can be?

UFxBoot V2.2 (c) SarasSoft 2003. Id: XX XX XX (replace data)
UFS_USB V2.6 (c) SarasSoft 2005. Sn: XXXXX (replace data)

UFS server down , when server down you cant activate UFS.
Go to UFS section to read more about.

Check your F-bus cable and pay attention to the good connection with phone motherboard and battery contacts. After inserting cable, phone should turn into the Local mode, if not check resistor in the cable box .

Yes, thank you. The problem was usb cable from jaf to pc. I have replaced with a better quality one and worked perfect from start. Everything is good with jaf now for all types, dct3, dct4, bb5.

I have a problem with ufs -3 now, I can't update, check above to see the error.
