Member: 1029 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 |  Nokia 5110 v. 5.24 Unlock Failed! I have a Nokia 5110 v. 5.24 but can't read and most especially unlock it using either Winlock or Nokall. I've used the SCR files too. I get an "mti init failed" under Winlock and "m-bus error, check cables and phone power" under Nokall. I've read that NokALL can unlock ALL Nokias... why is it that it can't unlock my Nokia 5110 v. 5.24? I tried unlocking other phones --- Nokia 5110 (v. 5.10), Nokia 3210 (v. 4.65) and Nokall works and Winlock can read what locks are open or closed! I'm really having a problem with this v. 5.24. Please help.... thanks in advance! |

Member: 233 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 36 | Hi a few Proveider cuts the M-Bus connection inside the Phone. If Winlock don't see the Phone, Mbus does not work. work your cable 100% ??? Check this with an other phone, if it's work open your phone an check the connection of Mbus inside. Jan |

Member: 871 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 601 | You are very correct Jan! Some providers really disconnect MBUS external lines  But not to worr, openphone and trace MBUS line and look for a live one. MBUS is usually 2.4V or less, usually find this in the capacitors near the bottom of phone. Also if you are familiar with installing PIC inside your phone this can be very easy for you... BR Linuz |
