Post Nokia IMEI Change

It is very easy to change IMEI in Nokia's, For example you can change IMEI in 5110, 5130, 6110, 6130, 6150, 3210, but you must open the phone and modify the eeprom, calculate checksums (You don't want contact service on the screen !?). For 3310 you can change IMEI with Nfree 1.2.
This solution is for those with 1 or 2 phones. If you are quick you can change IMEI in 10 min.
If you want solution for this, say it and you won't have to pay 50 $ to Dejan !

Ok, I will try to remember some old C and in a few days I will make a program that modifies your bin and calculates checksums, so you'll enter your desired IMEI and write back your eeprom.

lol! It wont work! The problem of IMEI changing is not the eeprom checksum! You will have to fix many more after IMEI changing! I dont believe, that your program will do that! If yes, you should sell it for many money! :-) Perhaps you are really a genius like dejan, but you would be stupid to release it for free! NFree can change the IMEI, but the author does say, thatīs only experimentle and phone will have no network like Gantulga said! Heīs right!

Greetings MR...

Hi

IMEI changing has been an issue on the Nokia's
for some time now.
Only thing 'working' so far was the trick with
the 2 eeproms.
This was only cosmetic (not in the network).

I don't think it will be available in a short
time. And why should you want to change it (also a questions asked many times here).
There is no legal reason to change it
(only forfun, like the 50.000 motorola's with 0000047000000

Your solution will probably change the IMEI but
does it registrate on a network? Don't reset after
a few seconds?
Don't think so. If it works Brobble is right
You should ask a lot of money.

Then your the next wizzkidd on a row

Thank you for your apreciations !
The thing is that this solution won't repair your phone, and works only for Nokia's with eeprom inside. there are two areas where the IMEI is stored in eeprom, one visible like 49 05 45, in hex, etc when you have your IMEI likle this 490545....... and another area where your IMEI is xored with 65h, both area being checksummed. My start point was Contact service repairer by Bartek and Nfree, thank's for the author's. With this solution I've changed IMEI in 5110 and 5130, and they have network, and should work for other phones. Please wait to make some tests, for now I don't have any phones to test on.

Red face

Hi mr_x4you

Ok, you've changed the IMEI, but did you change
them both? Because the first one is the tricky one.
If you change anything in the first 40bytes of
an eeprom of a 5110 then it stops working, even
if you fix the contact service (read chksum).
Did you checked the 'transmitted' IMEI?

No offends, I hope you found a way to do this.

There are a lot of people out there waiting for this one, so keep up the good work....

We'll see what you come up with.....

very, veeerryyyy curious....
