Hi, All

Who have experience with reprogram the demo DK2 dongle to PKD-1 dongle? I need some useful info for it!

Really nobody haven't any info for this? The instructions in the txt file not clear for me! And the bin files...What file for what chip?

hi,

I have DK2 demo dongle and files, as far as I understand from files PKD1_1.bin is the correct file to upload in the x25020 spi eeprom. I dissamble the dongle and locate the chip under the epoxy, I will reprogram it this weekend and tell you the results. The only dubt I have is that Saras talk about DK12 demostration dongle in the txt file, so perhaps DK2 dongle not work.

I have try that already but with no succes, I think that we must program HC not eeprom, Few months ago I have info from some guy from Sweden that he have succesfully convert DK2 in PKD 1,but as you know new PKD for Phoenix have 6 numbers in ID instead 5 in older models. Maybe someone shed some lights on this topic how to convert it for just old PKD 1 for example.

You´re right, the Dongle won´t work, because DK2= DES2ACS engine and DK12= DES3ACS engine(that´s what you need for your PKD1)

It is not true, because my demo DK2 dongle have DES3ACS. I get this dongle about one year ago! But reprogram the DES ic not working! In the txt file (PKD-1.zip) some instructions for reprogram the des ic, but the pinout is different. pin16=Vcc, pin5,8=GND, pin11=SO, pin6=SI for my DES3ACS. This chip have 16 pin! I removed all glue from the PCB. Only the eeprom reprogramming not working <img src="frown.gif" border="0"> If anybody have more info, please tell me!

hi,

I found inside dongle motorola hc processor, des asic and eeprom. About removing glue how did you do it, I only removed the glue over eeprom but it´s a slow process... About new 6 digit dongles, yes, there are different from saras sch,
