Member: 3165 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | A simple solution. If you have factory made 3210 datacables, do the following: 1. Cut of the wire and peel it, revealing the black, white, and blue wires. 2. Short the blue and white wires and connect it to your MBus. 3. As always, black should be Ground. Try it with nk_calc and rolis. Just remember, 3210 data cables and not the other types. regards, aCe |

Member: 2806 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | I`ll see if i can give you some help, here goes.... I`ll go thrue every component and explain how they should positioned. 1N4148 - These have a little black line that is closer to one of the edges, this edge should be placed in the same direction as the line is on the schematics. 470 uf and 47 uf - The short pin is (-) , the long pin is (+). So short pin should be connected to ground. 78L05 - You should hold this component so that you have the FLAT part towards you. This component has three legs, the one in the middle is ground and the left is VI, and the right one is VO. 74HC04 - This is a standard Ic component. 1,2,7 and 14 is the legs you should use. If you look at the top of the Ic, in one of the corners( could be one of the far ends also ) you will find a little cirkel mark, to the left of this mark is Leg nr 1. when you count legs on a Ic you should count down on the left side 1-7 and uppwards on the right side 8-14 (so you will find Leg 14 to the right of the cirkel mark). The Legs thats not being used are left just as they are. BC239C - This component looks like the 78LO5. You should hold this component so that you have the FLAT part towards you. The middle Leg should be connected to the 10k resistor, left Leg to ground and the right Leg to pin 1 on 74HC04, a 10k resistor and to the cable that connects to the m2bus on the phone. 10k - This is a resistor and can be positioned in any direction. Thats all Hope this helped and good luck with your M2bus cable. Regards Leeloo. Last edited by Leeloo; 03-28-2002 at 00:33. |
