Member: 4989 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 13 | I think you have to change eeprom from 2k to 8k, I mean from 24c16 to 24c128, and to mount IR module and some other components, then write 6110 soft inside then recalculate all checksums. I don't know if it works, but it might ! |

Member: 4894 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | it is possible Don't know about 5110 and 6110 (they have external eprom chip), but it is possible to upgrade 3210 without opening cover - just by flashing the phone with full flash version you like and then you need to correct the checksums with dejan tool. |

Member: 7653 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 823 | 3210 has an external eeprom too, just like 51/61xx. i think the question being asked is how to upgrade either a 5110 to a 6110 or to a 3210 (like upgrading am 8210 to 8850 software). obviously (you would have thought), its not possible as the phones are completely different. kind of like trying to run windows XP on a 386 |

Member: 1841 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 469 | You can upgrade 5110 to higher MCU version (without opening the phone). You can upgrade 3210 to higher MCU version (without opening the phone). You can't "upgrade" 5110 to 3210 (even with hardware changes). You probably can upgrade 5110 to 6110 (with necessary harware changes). |
