Y cant i get rid of line 2 symbol - GSM-Forum

After changing my sim card to a PAYG, and then putting my contract sim back in i've had the line 2 symbol come up and cant get rid of it. Has ne1 got ideas how i can remove it?

Hi,

To change back to line 1 press + hold on hash key. And same vice versa to change again to line 2!

this is a security feature,wich identifies the handest as a pre-contract phone .it protects the customer and law enforcement agencies are able to imediatley recognise phone has been a contract phone in its past history.
