5140 to 5140i sucsessfull upgrade

Just flashed my NPL-5 phone with RM-104 flash files, and everything goes OK
Even LCD replacement is not required - standart 5140 display shows trash for about 5 secs after power on, then becomes normal
Perhaps this is the way to enable mp3 support on other lite asic6 phones - 3220 7260 6020(not yet tested)

No, it works on opened phone, but it is geometricaly different - 3220 connector is at the left side.

Sorry, for my stupid question, big newbie. But do you neew any hardware for this flashing, like the Griffin Platinum Box or something, or can you just use a serial cabel between PC and Cell phone?

Prodigy box flash

Hi I am new at this and I was wondering Botty666 how you flashed your 5140 5140i and what did you use? I just tried to flash my 6800a to 6800 just to try it and I think I might have fried it b/c it doesn't turn on anymore. Thanks

I can confirm this is working perfect, i had a 5140 with broken LCD, i bought a 5140i display and replaced it with broken one. Then i used UFS and flashed with RM-104 sw ver. 3.70 mcu, ppm, and cnt, first i unmarked "autodetect product" in UFS_DCTx, choose 5140i (RM-104) in menu and flashed phone and did all UI and factory default settings.

Result: Works like a charm
