They say to unlock 8310v557 is to downgrade it to a lower version so I did and unlock it successfully then I upgraded it back to v557 it remain in unlock state it did not relock as to what they say I tried this already in three 8310s is working fine. accepts all providers in our place and does not reject any sim cards. hope this helps

Ver 5.57 8310 Simlocked phones that has been unlocked does not re-lock itself....... (yet!!!)

what does yet mean? meaning it will lock after a few days, weeks, or months of use?

OK Partners the only way to unlock 8310v557 now is to downgrade it to a lower version say v555. after unlocking successfully if you try to upgrade it back to v557 they say it will be locked again. I have downgraded now seven 8310s and unlock 100% and upgraded it back to v557 no harm done and did not relock itself it remained unlock pls look to gsmschwantz site for more info. again i tried this already seven times and will do more if some 8310s comes in for unlocking and will tell you results again hope this helps and clarify matters.
