barred 8310 - GSM-Forum

i have a few barred 8310 accumulated over the last couple of months. could you tell me which country other than uk that they would work in..

While they are locked to Uk networks, I guess that won´t work on any other countrys.
If they were unlock, should work, all over europe and asia.

As i know only in UK have barred.

All coutries have their phones barred too....

The different from locked and barred is :
in the first case (locked) the phone working in only one network but the barred phone is "black-listed"and no one network accept this phone for many reasons.....but the black list is in use only in UK ,but exist at all networks !!!

Oh ok, I understand... Here, we use that too, for stolen phones. not for usual stolen phones, stoled from user, it´s from phones that were stolen at the stores.
They take the IMEI and that phone only can sent and recieve sms.
After reflash, phone it´s ok for other networks, but not for the net wich he was stolen.

i havent seen a barred phone in my country. may be providers dont have this service.

UK barred handsets WILL work outside UK network area!!

I have a friend who bought a 8310 from ebay, and after 2 months it became barred, he tried to contact the seller but with no joy!! He went on holiday to Gran canaria and took this phone and it work ok!! So he sold it there.........

Barred handsets with work outside uk.
If you want to use the handsets in uk then you have to change Imei by Nk dct4 Imei rebuilder, you need to change uem also.

problem is changing imei is not that easy and it is of corz illegal in UK. You can send the fones over here for possible board swapping. email privately for details. [email protected]
