Format ur fone without cables/pc/box

How to format Nokia 7700 and 7710

In case of serious problems with your Nokia 7700/7710
(if e.g. your phone doesn't start or it is very unstable)
use the following method to reformat the device.
Please be aware that this function brings your phone back to a factory state, i.e. it removes all applications, files and data.
  • Disconnect the charger and remove the battery.
  • Wait for about ten seconds and insert the battery to start the device.
  • When you see the NOKIA welcome screen, immediately press and hold two lower keys on the left side (the [= key and the Menu key) and shortly after that press and hold the second key from the top on the right side on the phone.
  • Confirm that you want to format. Formatting will start.

How to Format Nokia Symbian Series 60 Phones

Nokia Symbian Series 60-based phones have a copy of the OS present in the built-in ROM. When you format the phone, the OS gets restored from the ROM to the phone memory overwriting the existing setup.

Steps
  1. Before you format your phone, make sure you back up all your ringtones, SMS and picture messages and most importantly yout contacts. You can use the Nokia PC Suite to do this.

  2. Once you’ve done this, key in *#7370#. It will immediately prompt you to restart your phone.

  3. Select ‘Yes’ and the phone will restart after formatting. It takes about 2 to 3 minutes to complete the process. Also ensure that your phone is well charged before you format.

  4. Now restore all your ringtones, messages and contacts and you once again have a fresh OS.

Tips

  • When you should format your Nokia Symbian Series 60 phone? If your phone has slowed terribly and you keep getting system error messages.

  • Do it by yourself and save your money. You don’t need to send your phone to get repaired somewhere and being charged for the cost.

how to format a nokia 9300 (not tested)

1. Turn off phone and take out battery

2. Insert battery, and while it boots up press and hold Ctrl + Shift + F

3. After a few seconds you will be asked if you want to format or cancel

I recommend having the device open when inserting the battery so you can press the combination quickly.

Remember that this erases everything in the machine and it becomes like when you bought it.

(I guess you know it, but mentioned it just in
case).
