Problem with 8310 v5.06 - GSM-Forum

Hi all,

I have tried to unlock a 8310 v5.06 (on orange) using DCT4 box.
After unlocking, and inserting another network sim card, the phone asks for the security code. I put inthe code butthe phone then reboots and ask's for the security code again!!

I then tried unlocking with JIC, but still the same problem occured, so I put in the orange sim and the phone works as normal, apart from when I go into "change security code" menu and try changing the security code it says "PIN2 code rejected" although I am not trying to change pin2 code!!

Any bright idea's are very welcome........

Have you tried reflashing? sounds like a SW problem

It's ok folks, I emailed gsm-magic & he has come up trumps again with a solution and phone is now unlocked and working very well!!

out of curiosity what was your soloution??

full factory reset?? reflash??

Yes, mate - full reset followed by flash did the trick and phone is now working fine.

Dont know why or what happened, but the security code decided to enable it's self in the "security - phone" menu.

All is well now though
