if you trace the keypad track on schematic you will see that the number 5 key will go first to the emf filter (buzzer ic) before it goes directly to the CPU.. try to reheat or replace the filter first..... if no joy.. then you need to reflow UPP or replace otherwise..

There is diffrence between key 5 and other keys of 3120.
All keys are controled by KEYB line.
but col5 ( key 5) by GENIO.

It is 100% UPP problem or PCB problem(track from UPP to key 5)

3120 "5" number Key Solution

Use outer of number "6" & inner of number "8" to have number "5"
------------------------------------------------------------------
Same problem was in my own set
---------------------------------------------
1 Make jumper between outers of Number "5" & Number "6"
2 Cover inner of number "5" with piece of paper
3 Now solder a piece of wire at inner of number "8" & leave other end of
the wire at inner of number"5" This end is not to be soldered, just leave
it on the paper which was used to cover inner of number"5"
Try IT
ENJOY

arorasatishkuma 's solution is IMPOSSIBLE for 3120.
becuse outers of number 5 is GROUND and if you connect a wire you will lose some other keys for shorting ground!
Just look at attachmnet picture.number 5 in 3120 phones work diffrent .directly from CPU.
It is TRUE for some other models like 2600.but 100% wrong for 3120
