3310 & 3330 - phone jamed :)


I have two of these phones:
It shows charging normally.
I can write and read flash without errors.
I can power it on, then it shows blac screen for a second, and after that screen goes white and pohne is jamed...
There is no water damage at all.

What can i do?

If reflow is not working try to change 32.768kHz oscillator.

If above does not help then MCU is damaged...

But, before throw board to garbage check all supply voltages from CCONT according to service manual...And use oscilloscope to check if there is noise in supply voltages...

Check PURX signal with oscilloscope ( 2.8V every 60 sec )...

Check sleepclk 32768kHz square wave at C220...

Check 26MHz from crystal and 13MHz from HAGAR if there is any abbreviations in period or amplitude...

Check RFC buffer...

And good luck.....It is one of the worse malfunctions on NOKIA phones...

MCU balls broken :(

Lot's of bad things happens when i press MAD2 a little bit....
I don't do changing glued components yet, ant the customer said that he wont pay more than 15 euro, so phone is now a toy for a 3 year old kid

Sometimes You don't need to change mad...

Just reheat it thru board ( not directly ) and put a lots of flux on it....

It's worth of try...
