Question 3310 BLC-2 problem

Hello,
I have a Nokia 3310 that was made in 2001 (NHM-5, V-4.45). I started using it again so I replaced the battery. The new battery is BLC-2 Li Ion & did not charge properly (says "Not Charging" but when I switch it on it will charge but stop in a hour or so). I searched this site (which is great, BTW!) & found out that resetting the software will help. I did this using a Fbus/Mbus cable & Nokiatool 1.8. Now it charges & says "battery full", but the charge only lasts 3 days (maximum). I'm not a heavy phone user, the usual duration of a call is 1-2 mins, I seldom take & recieve calls, but I text frequently.
Some other facts- the replacement battery is not genuine (it says "Made in Hungary" but obviously it's Chinese!) & I have replaced three batteries before this (the first was old, the second died because I had a habit of forgetting my phone when it's on charge so it was connected for weeks! The third was a fake BMC-3 Ni-MH that lasted 1 1/2 years). All three were BMC-3 & the first two were genuine.
So... what do you think the problem is? Has anyone encountered a similar problem? Your help is greatly appreciated. I can also post pics of the new battery if required.
Regards!

Thanks for your information. How do I do it? What are the needed equipment & accessories? Is there a diagram? I'm new to these, resetting the software was the first operation I did on a cell phone!
BTW, don't you think it's a fault of the battery? I read online that most Chinese BLC-2s have 3-5 days' standby time. Of course, I might be wrong...
