Exclamation 3310 LCD problem!!!


3310 with dots on screen & words all jumbled/mixed up.
Tried new LCD same problem. Replaced Caps 409, 410 on top of board, same result. Any one have the same problem or can help with this one. Phone was water damaged!!

had this problem twice.... once it was the ccont and the other time it was the cobba. I know this mite not make sense... but after butheading my self trying to figure out wtf else could be the problem... i figured, what do i have to loose by trying to replace either... and guess what... it worked!

Yes you change capacitors 409 and 410 but do you check does exist litle wire inside PCB from pins 2 and 8 LCD and this capacitors???Use service manual and see careful did i said right or use one PCB which is OK and check my words......

no,you must have conections betwen pin 2 of lcd and one capacitor and pin 8 lcd with second capacitor,use service manual and where is lcd part,or simple way use one board which is ok and multimeter and measure my "words",belive me

@feverdj, check the LCDEN line from D1 CPU pass through R306 to LCD pin 5 (count from right handside)..

That is line cut from 4 lcd pad from right. It has to be jumpered to some 1 jump point in jump point clusters upper right of #5 keypad. Use another board for comparison. This line is going to CPU.

Checked Caps @ top of phone - OK.
LCD contacts also ok!
Reflowed COBBA and phone is working perfectly - Thanks for help!!
