3315 led auto on when batt put in - GSM-Forum

anyone come accross these problems before? any solutions?

Nokia 3315
1. Phone totally dead but led (4 leds near the lcd) ligted up but dim when batt is put in.

2. Phone works ok but when switch off, all leds are blinking dim.

TRY TO CLEAN KEYPAD LIGHT BUZZER INTERFACE IC (N400) OR CHANGE IT. IF THIS DOESNT WORK THEN REHOT FLASH IC AND AFTER ALL FLASH THE PHONE WITH FULL FLASH.

Hiya

In most cases no need to change UI circuit N400...Check/change R406...

Phone suffered water damage 100%

I'm 1000000% agry with Vule but first you should check/remove (better last) R406/R407.

@Zoboz...
U didn't mensioned if that phone had peroblems with power befor
,or water/liquid fall ,or changing LED's, Or any past hisotry.
The most recommended causes are:
- Cleaning pcb with thener,specially arownd N400.
- Replaceing R406,R407 varistors.
- If still, raise N400 , put the battery and see,then clean under
N400,resolder it and see.
