Member: 91194 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Nokia 5110 strange behaviour This is description of problem with my phone that probably hit the ground: - when switch on without charger phone switch off immediately - when switch on with charger phone indicate charging for a while (one minute ?), but when switched on it sometimes permit to input PIN and after that (or during that) phone switch off. I checked charging block. Fuse and capacitor are ok. Voltage on capacitor before charging IC is about 9V. Voltage on electronics is about 3.6V. I resoldered charging IC which I thought was cold junctioned but it gave no improvement. This failure is strange, maybe some track on PCB is broken but it will be hard to identify. Maybe someone had such a problem? Maybe someone has nokia 5110 schematic? P.S Battery is ok and on battery connections is about 3.6V when charger is connected (when aku is removed). Please help. |

Member: 10679 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 35 | This seems to be OK. First I was supposing PA short. Yesterday I have repaired a 6150 with a very similar symptom; it was a failure the ESD protection block on the UI PCB (where the display is located.) If you just look at the panel it is an 8-pin MLF upwards left from the display. Try removing it, if the phone work OK, then this was the problem. You can replace it or just leave it without that block. |

Member: 91194 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | This element with 4 pin on the ground (section of four emc capacitors ? ) ? I will desolder it tommorow. Other 4 pins of this element have no short circuit to the ground( rather high resistance for DC ). But maybe this element is damaged. Thanks again |
