3650 / 3660 USB, Nokia fails to provide.. Why? Im really a n00b, so try to bear with me ;) I found these USB datacables for 3650/3660, ecen though Nokia states that "there is no cable connection in 3650/3660" http://www.cellphonemall.net/wireles...07&phoneid=276 http://www.directmobileaccessories.c...oducts_id=1625 Looks like a DKU-5 -type of thing (virtual serial COM-port). POP - port supports USB, but cable connection is not supported in 3650/3660. At least Nokia does not officially support it. Why is this? I have a DKU-5, can I make it work on 3660? Do I need to modify the signal somehow? Does someone know, how I could ADD a POP-Port interface to 3660?? If the cable works, will I be able to use the phone as a MMC card reader? Will I be able to browse phone memory/MMC with my pc, or will it be like on 5100,, just sending / removing java apps, ringtones, contacts..? Can someone wiser shed a light on this? |
I've found an another data cable for 3650/3660. http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/1506.htm It seems to be the same cable as http://www.directmobileaccessories.c...oducts_id=1625 But without serial-> usb converter. The mobilefun's serial cable seems to be "Suitable for use with service software etc." So does that mean that I can flash the phone etc. with this cable? As it is a F/Mbus serial cable, is it compatible with all DCT4 devices? Ca n I add a serial -> usb conversion for the mobilefun's cable? Any help would be appreciated. |
