5210 Charging OK, but cant TURN ON :(


Hello,
i have one 5210 with strange problem. when i put phone on
a charger, it normally charges - lines goes up on the screen,
but i cannt POWER ON the phone
i can flash phone - so ON/OFF switch is ok and FLASH IC too...
i tryed to reball cpu,cobba,hagar, but still the same
anyone can help me?

If there is volts accross power switch and swich is OK replace V202

this is the solution of 3310 may be

same situation in your 5210 find v202 in it " it wil help u "

this solution isn't working.. i got about 5 8210 boards here, which charge up (flash ok) but not turnning on.. i have replaced V116, ccont, cpu, crytral, 13mhz, flash ic, power switch.. all still no go..

i don't think u want to tuch those boards.. for that price, just wasting your time... let put it this way.. i have replaced that V116 ( desolder from the good working phone) solder it on.. still don't work and the one (v116) from the dead board solder to the good phone and it working..
maybe better off offer Mr platy to repair his phone.. right???

in 6210 and 8210 , it`s hager problem
try resold it , may it`s the same with 5210

you said you flashed your phone,but what did you flash only MCU and PPM or EPROM.I ask this because time ago i had same prob with 3330 and i had to flash PMM area,im not shure if 5210 has a PMM but try to flash full backup from working phone 200-600.

i got the solution will fix your phone man ,, i just discovered and tested works 100% ,..whoever say to change V116 isn't right solution,

hi platy,

then i am not sure, cos this solution is working for 8210, i fixed all my 5 boards.. if the phone have voltage across the on/off switch and flashed ok and charging ok (battery bar running) so diffenately that solution i sent to u.. just check around R118, V360 see if any voltage go thru..

hey I have also a trouble like that I change the flash cause its bad. i flashed it but if I turn it on it doesnt on. I flashe it again it is flashing. I turn it on but it cannot be turn on. what is the problen of this anybody can help me?
