5310 booting & goes off - GSM-Forum

recieved water damaged 5310 , client removed battery when got liquid damaged and gave to me

when power on phone without sim card it would display " power on fone without sim ? " if u dont touch it all is fine it wouldnt go off ... then when u click accept u would hear & see nokia sound and logo , after that it would go off

( it looks like it would try and boot but goes off cause u can see black screen changing colour to light black and dark black )

when i opened i noticed slight corrosion on the Keypad flex connector so i cleaned it with the ultrasonic & ethanol but problem remained there .

i assume its hardware fault right ? do u think software would help ? which IC u think is faulty ?

Flash chip (upper portion of double chip) is causing this problem. Remove it, reball and back it again.
