Nokia 6310i faulty on 900 Mhz band

I've just received a mint condition Nokia 6310i and I assume it is faulty on the 900 Mhz band. The problem is as follows: here, in Romania, there are three networks - Orange & Vodafone which both operate on 900 Mhz and Cosmote which operates on 1800 Mhz. When I try the phone with Orange/Vodafone SIM I get no network coverage (not a single signal bar or operator name on screen) or the signal completely goes off 2-3 seconds after I start the phone. On Cosmote the phone works flawlessly.

Could it be an imperfect contact between the antenna and the motherboard? Or which part from the phone do I need to change to make it work on both bands?
