6210 pwoer-off when presssing any key !!

if i leave phone .. no power-off .. just power-off if i tried to press any key . !!!

Hi.<br />Such problem is tipical when power switch is defect (shorted)<br />may b your nokia is swithing on after inserting the bat ,and switches off<br />when any key is pressed .<br />So u must open the phone and check the switch .<br />and of course change it ,if u can't find this part (it is smd ),also check the elements on PWRONX line for grounding ,bad solder,e t. c.<br />u may try to disasemble the switch and clean it (this is delicate <br />component so b carefull ) after it will work .<br />How to test the switch ?<br />open the phone ,remove keyboard pcb and place bat in the back <br />cover now place the board upside so it can contact to the bat secure it <br />with 2 screws measure the voltage between the two pads of the <br />switch when it is not pressed it may b 2,6-3V and when is preseed <br />must be under 0.5 V in your case i suggest it is under 0.5 <br />constantly .<br />the flip button and some other keys give interrupt to the MAD <br />and it switches off the phone . <br />The cause of such problems is the dirt inside the switch or<br />switch destruction after strong pressing .<br />good luck but if u cant buy such button first try to clear it <br />with drop of alcohol(isopropil is better )then pres it few times and <br />measure again.<br />By.
