Hi Keke,

I have the same problem.
After the phone dropped keys 2,5,8 won't work.

There are 2 small black chips in the bottom area of the
pcb. I believe that this could be the problem because
one of the chips seems to be chiped on the edge...?

Sorry, I dont have their names....still looking for schematics!

Regards

AFR

ok guys, the problem is really in the two BGA chips near the keypad connector. I was able to fix many of these whenever I had another 6600 to use as a donor. They are protection ICs similar to the one in 8310 near the sim connector. In 8310 we are able to take the chip off and put 3 shortcuts on the pins. Here it should be the same.
The question is: what is the shcematic?

WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY ( try the litlle crystal under the keypad connector it works 100%???

HEAT IT, REMOVE IT, OR REPLACE IT??

DOES ANY HAVE SCHEMATIC TO PUT 3 SHORTS INSTEAD OF REPLACING SINCE NEW FILTER IS NOT AVAILABLE!!
