6600 sending second boot loader ... - GSM-Forum

Hi...,

today comes a nokia 6600 phone to my lab, all test points r ok, all the UEM values also ok, try to flash it using griffin i get the folowing :

Initializing Phone...Send 2nd loader failed, probable cause:
*Too slow PC
*Noise environment
*Too long cable
*Bad luck

is this a faulty flash ic ...?
or do i have to upgrade the fia files ....? but i can flash all dct4 phones without any problems,

what's worng ...?

I had problems with 2300 same error, look here:

2nd Boot Error: 4

Process Failed, Repowering Mobile

and after i resolder flash with hot air worked. I flashed with twister since i don`t have griffin. I hope this will help you.

Pls. check sleep clock (b190) at J123,C196 and C197.
If its ok,its UPP_WD2 problem.

@ Byte,

push power switch contineues on or on /off when phone connect
and start software to boot phone.

have you try with twister /ufs ?

this problem is due too long cable ..tested many times

change 32khz clock and all be OK

hi u must use twister/ufs and windows 98 do not use windows xp inshah***** ur phone will be flashed
