Member: 526977 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | 6630 and (apparent) signal related problem my 6630 exhibits problems whenever there is no signal for extended periods of time. programs like calendar and notes take an insane amount of time to open (if at all). i've also noticed that, during long periods of time without a signal, the "Network Mode" field in the "Network Settings" tab in the "Settings" folder is blank (instead of either GSM or Dual Mode) this problem, once it appears, does not go away even if the phone reacquires the signal. i've tried reformatting the phone and putting the phone in GSM mode, but those don't work. what should i do? thanks! |

Member: 526977 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | i've tried several simcards, and the problem only occurs when there is no signal for quite some time. one network (say, network GL) has a very weak signal here at home, while another network (let's name it network SM) has a strong signal. needless to say the problem only happens with the weak network, GL. months would pass, and the sim from network SM won't have any problems. one night about 2 weeks ago a bolt of lightning hit the nearby cellsite of network SM. sure enough, the problem mentioned above again appeared, this time with the sim from network SM. this led me to conclude that the problem is signal-related. is there any way this can be rectified? |

Member: 526977 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | hi! i've just talked to a technician, and he says that upgrading the firmware isn't the solution to this problem, which i think is pretty honest, since he could have lied and obtained my cash. the problem now is, what should i do to fix my 6630? |
