6630 offline - GSM-Forum

i have a nokia 6630 which was being used on some network in UK i think its orange.its imei number is 356657007364737.when i put my local line in Zimbabwe the network bars are crossed and it shows offline on the screen,please i need help.thanks in advance.

Make Sure That The Sim Driver Is Working.phone Would Stay In Offline Mode If Sim Driver Is Faulty.

what are u say , did u follow the post ? plz read and think again , what u are saying , that not sim card reader prob ok . network locked , it was working in uk , but not in Zimbabwe , how its posible the sim reader is damage .some have 32mhz and some have 64 mhz , country code may solve this prob , but not simreader ,some set made for special country .

When you turn on phone with your local simcard, does the phone ask you: "continue using phone in offline mode?"

when i enter the sim card it reads it well and request pin code,i then put the pin code and it initialises but the network signal will appear with all bars but with a cross.it will be written offline on the screen.please help....

you need a bb5 unlocker

OK. As long as you can enter pincode, that means sim IC is fine. Now try to change profile from any to any, no mather. And also do manual search for network from settings and let me know.

I think it is Network lock problem....Try to change RAP3G and the NOR flash.
