7270 Flip Problem

Hi,
I have a 7270 that is having a problem that when i power it on, it works correctly and all of the buttons on the keypad is functioning correctly except "2" and when i close it`s flip and open it, then only "2" is displayed on the screen and all the keypad hangs automatically and nothing could be pressed.
I am not taking the risk of flashing it.
please let me know if there is something that is to be done to this set.

Regards,
Mr. Farhan.

Dear Baraka,
Thanks for your reply and i have jumpered my keypad with the following style as I have read it in circuit diagram.

2 5
|@--------@|
-- --

But problem is that the jumper wire is enameled but short circuited when i press button because sticker is cutting its lamination.
