Hi,
I always have a problem on these 82xx series phones when they are water dameaged. I REMOVE (without All these IC's) PA, CCONT, COBBA, UI, Charging CHAPS, HAGAR and antenna switch. The phone still short circuit when i use the ohm meter to test + and - point at the battery connector there.... there's a leakage and it drains battery very fast.... I clean the pcb with thinner.

Can somebody assist me?

hi,

drain battery is suspicious simptom,
change display and check if everything ok,
80% is display problem

other part may be FLASH ROM...

I had same problem with water damaged 8210
After changed FLASHROM works
But Flash not easy to remove flash rom
Use water flux for removing glue under flash or heat it when you se near solder balls around flash use a surgeon knife or any sharp
tool to remove flash

It's very difficult... BE CAREFUL

try to change or replace ElCo i think 680mf half cm from cobba,he is paralel vith power suplly.

doesn't work for me,remove PA,Epcos an few other things but no help,what to do, between + and - resistance is allmoust zero

in a nokia 2100 , i am also having the same problem as the resistance between the +&- is zero...what to do?
the set was water damaged...but it is on now.. but the battery discharges very fast and there is no network...
and i have also changed the PA..but same problem remains...

help///
