8210 Dead microphone. Is it possible to...

Hi

Ive changed the mic, taken the phone apart and cleaned contacts and given it the chunkhead treatment (usualy helps me out) but still the fault remains. If I use the headset all is OK though. can someone please tell me if its possible to link the mic (tested on another 8210) to one of the headset pic ups without it going to the headset profile, or better yet a link to another part of the board for the main mic.

Cheers

Well ... If the control volt-detector detects a headsets jack pluged
in it switshes the cobba to headset mode, and also changes from
internal Mic/Speacker , To external Mic/Speacker.
The best solution in U'r case is to reflow the cobba IC and also by
vision check the audio components at the base of the PCB.
If u insist to make substitutional bridges Mic/Earphone U have to
cut the control volt path, but " Headset " will be titled allways.
