8210 problem help - GSM-Forum

a friend gave me an 8210 board for fix/play with. History of board is as follows. It was given to him to fix contact service. He heat up the CCONT and HAGAR and the phone won't power up anymore.

I repacked the CCONT and HAGAR and reinstalled. I replaced the 13 mhz OSC crystal.

initially the phone turned on but the buzzer was buzzing continously and the phone went dead. I then replaced the CCONT and while powering on I just felt the vibra and then dead again. Any suggestions so far on how to fix this?

Your CCONT is bad soldered, probably some short circuited joints on chip, Be careful this is very dangerous because you can damage your MAD2 with this.....

Hi I just replaced the CCONT. And still no power. Could you check if I can use the CCONT of 3210 for the 8210? Thanks dude!

I never tried, but ccont from 3210 and 8210 have same pinout so you can give it a shot ...

If ther is no short circuited joints on CCONT try to replace USER Interface IC(display side).

you must check your MAD2.

try to solder a new original Ccont!!!
