8210 water damage light


i have a 8210 it went in water now the 3 light on the dispaly will not turn on, on the same row evey thing else is working find. can i replace these lights.

chek the LEDs first

You can easily check the LEDs with some power supply (3V).
But, in your case, they are probably OK, you have some lines on board damaged. Use service manual, and check these lines (they go from UI chip located on the sams side as LEDs, on the top right).

Easiest way without a manual is to get a hold of a working 8210 board. Then trace the tracks between LED's and UIF chip on working board using a multimeter (set it on continueity mode). This way you can see which tracks are broken on your H2O damaged phone. Then you just bridge the broken tracks and Voila!

I hope this helps! Its easier to do than to explain. Good Luck
