8310 Nokia speaker volume very low

The volume from the speaker is very low even though it is turned fully-up. The speaker has been changed but to no effect.

I was given this phone so don't know if this has always been a problem or a gradual or sudden problem.

Other phones can hear me ok indicating that the microphone is working ok.

However when I plug in the external 'hands free' earpiece and microphone sound quality is excellent.

Grateful for any advice that forum members may be able to provide me.

Raklm

Thank you for your on-going suggestions. Your comment 'changed cases??????' provided the seed for the solution. I woke up this morning wondering if the material fixed to the inside of the case there to protect the loudspeaker was blocked.

I removed this piece of material and can now clearly hear what the caller is saying.

Thank you Raklm for your help. You're the difference that made the difference.
