Advice needed on repair of Nokia 6300 water damage - GSM-Forum

Have Nokia 6300. Some water fell on it and it heated up. I removed the battery and dried it out as best I could. However, when I reinserted the battery the two blue lights on side came on and remain on. The screen occasionally lights up and I get a message about inserting sim card, but I get no further.

Am situated in Africa, away from repair centres. Is there any hope for my Nokia? I am good at fixing things and have manged to dismantle the phone with help from internet. What part is likely to be gone? and can it be replaced?

most probably there is still moisture inside, try to open and really fry it up forst, so thhere is no shortage anywhere...
