B200 is the " sleep mode clocker " of the phone it works at the time of no use of the phone for data refreshment rithm but at lower speed ( for energy saving ), If U read any full service manuall ( specially the baseband section ) U'll find it well explained , also U have to do further searshing on the forum if U still need additional infos.

Regards
Br

It is clock for your CCONT
once you put battery, then it use 2 gates of CCONT to work for 32.768khz !
when phone into "sleep" mode, then 26Mhz also sleep ! phone need 32.768K to keep a clock to work for wake up MCU !

see, it is NEEDED !

regards

Willy

Try to use 3310 without 32kHz quartz - you will get no only slow tones, but also jumping network, and also other (de)effects ...
