Member: 1024 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 5,510 | Hi, You said that the phone is in contact service. You can't update the eeprom or anything at all if your phone is in Contact Service. You have CS not because you changed Cobba, but because the chip is not communicating with MAD2 properly. So check whats the reason for CS and if its CObba releated maybe the new chip you putting is just faulty. Try another one. BR |

Member: 9753 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 4 | 610 Ok, Why if i put the original cobba, the phone works fine , I used the cobba from 5110 because it has the same serial number. I used nk_calk.exe . Did i wrong when i put 5110 cobba? Why in Dejan program the id of cobba apears 00000 |

Member: 1024 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 5,510 | Hi, This so called CobbaID ( Nokia call it HardwareID) is written in the IMEI register in Cobba. When the soft request Msid from the phone the DSP request the CobbaID from Cobba to calculate the MSID. The value is retrieved via standart 12 bit data bus, you have 4 bit address bus ( to select from ADC,DAC and IMEI register) plus read, write, CS and so on..... So you understand if any of this signal is interupted, DSP will never retrieve the right value from Cobba. Also the MCU makes start up self tests to check both Cobba interfaces - paralel and serial and if any fails - phone is in Contact Service. Hope this helps. BR |
