dead 5800 XM - GSM-Forum

hi everybody,

this is my first posting here in years. since my old account was no longer working, i made a new one (~6yrs ago - lol)

i was a member since 2001 (username moguth) & repaired many phones since y2k.
but now, many things changed - i "left" nokia and worked on apple devices - and now the nokia's are coming back - so here is my question (i hate those looooong introductions)

i received a completely dead 5800. it had a mild fluid damage. no visually blewn parts. i've cleaned the pcb with electronics cleaner, charged the battery in a different phone and tried to power it on, tried to flash it with phoenix and with jaf - but the phone does not react when the power putton is pressed, even the "old" plugging in the charger insted of pressing the power button didn't lead to anything.

anyone with a similar problem and maybe a solution???

strange - this question is neither similar nor has it something to do with my question

but btt - i received a 5230 with exact the same behavior
slight fluid damage with no real corroded stuff on the pcb - doesn't react on anything.
