E71 phone does not start up - GSM-Forum

hello, I have E71 and the problem is:

SYMPTOMS
Phone does not start up when pressing power key. When pressing the power key notification light and display backlight wake up. Vibra makes one jog. Phone will take 230 mA but nothing else happens. After 30 seconds phone will power off. With Phoenix you can't get connected to the phone. You can update phone software but it doesn't help anything. Phone doesn't start to test mode in Phoenix.
Note! This file does not fix other issues such as if phone starts to test mode but not to normal mode. Also this file should not destroy undamaged device.

HOW TO FIX

1) Flash E71_blank_504KB_pmm_10.fpsx file to phone with firmware update:
Firmware Update-> Options -> select E71_blank_504KB_pmm_10.fpsx into Image field and empty other fields

2) Flash the whole SW package to phone with firmware update

3) Run factory settings

Phone should work now.

But this is not work, the phone not boot, If I select manually mcu,ppm, cnt the phone flashing succesfully but not power up.

Any solution?? I Think this is hardware problem.

check the capacitor nearest poweric.it will succes.

you can also do tricks with that

1. fullflash (the same firmware.... not higher not lower)
2. on mcu select E71_blank_504KB_pmm_10.fpsx

this not working, I check capacitors maybe are demage.

hello,I check and I changed the capacitor nearest power ic.but not succes. Any help?? The phone is from Hong Kong but oryginal.

with what tool you tryed to write the erase file?

cause i have seen it dont work with jaf software...

then i used mt box and it have worked...

i have tryed it many times with jaf and have fixed many e71 with mt box and the erease file...

and you need to use this file: 256MB_RAPIDO_YAWE_erase_by_mm-gsm.rar

the other one whant work...

first make crt imei backup, to be able to restore imei after erase...

if you dont have pm308 and pm120 backup you need to repair with simlock rpl and genSX to make it fully work again.
