can someone pls explain these to me in alayman language.POWER-ON IS POSSIBLE IF POWER-ON IS SHORT TO GROUND.

Ground is the thin gold line that goes around the pcb or the point where the"-" sign of the battery connects to.If you connect that point to the ground line the phone should switch on.
